Selection for RI Exhibiition 2018
I am delighted to report that my mixed media painting ‘The Old Shed’ has been selected to be shown at the 206th exhibition of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours (‘the RI’) at the Mall Galleries in London. I am extremely grateful to the selectors for choosing my painting from the over 1,100 works submitted this year. To have my work exhibited alongside those of the extremely talented members of the RI will be an absolute privilege (albeit rather daunting too!)
The exhibition opens on 6th April and runs until 21st April at the Mall Galleries, just off Trafalgar Square. For more information see https:/www.mallgalleries.org.uk

I am really pleased to have my prize-winning painting The Winding Road, Yorkshire Dales in the October issue of Leisure Painter magazine as part of their feature on 2017's Open Competition
An award at Patchings 2017

If you are in the area, do pay it a visit. If you are unable to get there all of the exhibited works and prize winners can be seen on the following website – where there is also the chance to vote for my painting as your People’s Choice, should you wish https://www.patchingsartcentre.co.uk/TALP/TALP_Exhibition/gallery_view.php?Ref=?d&Entrant=?LP0411

Work published in Leisure Painter magazine
I am pleased to report that my painting 'Spring Stream, Barnsdale Woods' appears in the September issue of Leisure Painter magazine along with the other winners of awards at the Patchings competition. There are such a variety of painting styles and many of the artists have provided fascinating insights into how the works were created.
The Great Stamford Brush Off
I took part in The Great Stamford Brush Off on 16 and 17 July with other members of the Welland Valley Arts Society. We painted en plein air and Stamford being Stamford there was lots of subject matter to choose from. The artworks created are currently being exhibited at Stamford Arts Centre. You can find my three 'bijou' paintings in the Landscape section of this website
